Swegde gained the king’s approval and took two escorting generals to the North in order to find the Relic and defeat the Demons. On their journey to Asgard, they encountered huge waves on the sea, but they fortunately found “hued clouds”, leading them to Asgard.
The boat berthed at an ice island. On the island, mountains towered into the sky, creating huge barriers along the coast. After a while, one of the generals reported that behind a huge ice, he had found a cave with its entrance covered in snow…
General Swee: Master Swegde, this cave might lead us to Asgard.
Swegde: Well done! I will take the lamp and lead the way. Follow me and watch out!
Swegde: It smells like smoke in here...And there’s also a rusty smell ...The smells are getting stronger...
Swegde: Oh it’s a crossroad! Which path should we take…
General Verlander: Master Swegde! General Swee is missing!
Realizing General Swee’s disappearance, Swegde and Verlander immediately returned to their starting point, only to find that the entrance blocked by a huge stone. Upon realizing this was a trap, Swegde tried to stay calm and had no choice but to keep moving forward. Once again, they arrived at the crossroad, and as Swegde hesitated, she suddenly noticed glittering spots on the floor. Taking a closer look, it turned out to be metal debris.
Swegde: General Verlander, Let’s follow the path with the most debris. Hopefully we will find something.
Swegde: There are broken swords everywhere. Some even have strange shapes. Was it once a battlefield? No wonder the smell of rust is so strong.
General Verlander: Look! Master Swegde! There’s light over there!
Seeing the white light in front, the two of them quickly ran towards the light. Upon exiting the cave, a breeze of hot air blew towards them. There was a soldier, with fire burning all over his body, holding two axes…
Heimdallr: How dare you set foot into Asgard!
Swegde: We are the heir of Vanir from Folkvangr! We don’t mean to offend… !
General Verlander: Watch out, Master Swegde!
Heimdallr suddenly swung his axes at general Verlander and Swegd. General Verlander immediately defended himself with his sword, but fire from Heimdallr's axes quickly spread towards him. Swegde pushed general Verlander aside and immediately took out her sword.
She wielded the sword at Heimdallr’s arm but Heimdallr’s axes immediately chipped her sword into two, shaking her hand to drop the sword. Swegde was frightened, but suddenly, a boom shook the ground…
A sudden chill ran down Swegde’ s spine, who lowered her head and saw frosts all over her palms. She swung her arms but saw the frosts had transformed into a sword glimmering with blue lights...
Heimdallr: You’ve passed the test. You are the third heir to inherit the Relic after the brothers Modi and Magni.
Heimdallr: Freyr’s Sword of Victory is now in your hands.
Swegde: ”So everything just happened was a tests. Was blocking the entrance of the cave also part of the test?”
Heimdallr: Heir of Vanir, please treasure your time with the Gods and explore how to use the Sword of Victory.
When Swegde tried to protect general Verlander from Heimdallr’s attack and fought back, she decided to sacrifice herself. At that critical moment, she took up the Sword of Victory. Heimdallr suddenly withdrew his weapon and anger, approving her as the inheritor of Freyr’s Relic and handed her Freyr’s armour.
Heimdallr saw them out. Swegde and Verlander found their boat and decided to return to their country. The sea was calm and Swegde calmed down and thought about how to use the Sword of Victory’s power to defeat the Demons. All of a sudden, a familiar voice echoed from behind…
Swee: Master Swegde, looks like you’ve succeeded!
Swegde: Gen...general Swee? Where have you been?
Swee: I stayed on the boat and waited for you to come back!
Verlander: General Swee, how could you back down like that?
Swee: Of course not, because…
Before the voice died away, general Swee swung his sword towards general Verlander’s throat who immediately died. Swegde was too horrified to believe what’s happening in front of her eyes. Swee laughed like a madman and walked directly towards the Relic. Upon seeing this, Swegde immediately protected the Relic. She grabbed the Sword of Victory...
Swee: The cave should have led you to a dead end, so you won’t find Asgard or bring back the Relic. Anyway, that’s a great chance to annihilate your race!
Swegde: You are demon? Throughout all these years, I didn’t inspect anything...Hell!
Swegde was furious. She dashed towards general Swee with the Sword of Victory. However, the Sword was no different from a normal piece of steel, without the glimmering blue light and waves as it did before…
Swegde: It was fine just now!
Swee: Hahaha! Just a piece of crap! Surrender now!
The Sword of Victory suddenly turned into iron scraps as heavy as a hammer. Swegde could hardly lift it. General Swee kept attacking while Swegde could only defend herself with the sword. Fortunately, the sword was big enough to be used like a shield but it was so heavy that Swegde started to feel exhausted. Trying to turn the tables, she stretched out her leg and kicked Swee, who lost his balance and took a few steps back. The two of them stood at the two ends of the boat.
Swee: Hand me the sword, now! You might die painlessly if you do as I say.
Swegde: The Sword of Victory is too heavy for me right now, but I will master it later!
After putting down the Sword of Victory, Swegde picked up Verlander's sword and swiftly aimed for General Swee's heart. Not knowing Swegde could recover so fast, Swee failed to defend himself and the sword pierced through his heart. After he died, Swee immediately transformed back to his original Demonic appearance...
The boat was a compelete mess. General Swee's demonic corpse, general Verlander's bloody body and the Sword of Victory in ruins all displayed in front of Swegde. Everything was going well before obtaining the Relics, but misfortune befell one after another upon obtaining the Relic.
Swegde threw Swee’s body into the ocean and buried general Verlander as soon as the boat anchered. Swegde thought about how to comfort Verlander's family as she helplessly looked at the ruined relic.
Swegde: ”The guardian told me to treasure my connection with the Gods, but how can I contact them when the Relic is ruined…”
Swegde: ”Is it general Swee’s evil plot or is it just me?”
Swegde: ”But the guardian has already approved of me. What’s the problem...”
Recalling everything that has happened, Swegde remembered Heimdallr saying she was the third inheritor of the North heir relic. She was the third inheritor, before her there were two brothers. She cleared her mind and decided to find the brothers hoping they might have some clues on how to revive the Relic.
Carrying the Relic, Swegde traveled alone to find the brothers, passing by hotels, markets and ports...At the suburbs, she met a hunter who told her to go to Vahalian Kingdom that is jointly ruled by the brothers. She immediately energized up and set off for Vahalian Kingdom. When she arrived at Vahalian, she heard the sound of rough waves and took out the Sword of Victory, only to find water seeping through the Sword…
Swegde: Why did it suddenly revive? Eh? What about all this smog here and the sound of clashing weapons…
She took a few steps forward, each step increasing the sound of the waves. All of a sudden, a strong force infused into her body and the Sword of Victory, which seemed to have regained its vitality, pushed Swegde forward. Swegde couldn’t help but run until she reached the battlefield and saw a grey-hair man with a huge chain mace in his hand…
Swegde: I...I’m out of control! Run!
Fulminating Sovereigns - Modi & Magni: This is…!
？？？: ”Thor, we are not finished yet...”
Swegde felt the Sword of Victory was pulled towards Modi and Magni. She warned the brothers to dodge but her body was controlled by the Sword. She remembered hearing from her elders that Freyr and Thor once competed for the leadership of the Northern Alliance.
Back then, Freyr lost his Sword and could only fight Thor with a common steel sword. Freyr was defeated in the end. Now that the Relics of Freyr and Thor have met again, Freyr could finally take revenge and prove himself with another fight...
Swegde: ”They’re fighting with the Demons. They can’t lose because of me and the Sword of Victory!”
Swegde: ”Sir Freyr, please help me! For the sake of general Verlander and the Kingdom of Folkvangr and the North, I have to annihilate the Demons!”
All of a sudden, the impetuous force faded away and the Sword of Victory no longer was as heavy as a hammer. Instead, it became as light as a feather. Swegde could now control it with ease and she attacked the Demons behind Modi and Magni...
The Sword of Victory is powerful. With each attack, tens of Demons were slashed down. Supported by Swegde, Modi and Magni defeated the Demons that invaded Vahalian. It was not until Demon corpses were all over the battlefield did the Sword of Victory finally cease its attacks.
Swegde: Are you the inheritor of the Relics?
Fulminating Sovereigns - Modi & Magni: You are…
Swegde: I am the inheritor of this Sword. The relic is sometimes complete while at other times in ruins. I hope you can tell me something about it...
Magni: To be honest, we don’t know much about it. It was not until the war started did Thor’s Shield and Hammer revive...
Modi and Magni told Swegde about how their Relics revived. All they knew was that after they fixed their relationship and cooperated with each other, the Relics revived. As they recalled, Heimdallr once emphasized that Modi and Magni could only gather all the power to revitalize the North if they can be the right arm of each other...
Swegde: ”Be each other’s right arm? I am willing to be my father’s right arm and defeat the Demons. Is that enough?”
Swegde: ”The guardian said that I should think about how to use the Sword. Freyr saw it as an ally and he was afraid of nothing, but I am doubting myself…”
Swegde seems to understand everything now. In Asgard, she used the Sword of Victory to protect general Verlander; and just now, she used it to defeat the Demons; but when she fought general Swee on the boat, she was thinking about her inability to save general Verlander. She was too scared to take up the Sword…
Swegde: I have to trust the Sword’s power, as well as my own abilities!
Swegde: Demons are haunting the kingdom. Let’s face them together! The spirit of Freyr and Thor will definitely lead us to victory!
With that firm belief in mind, Swegde decided to unleash the Sword of Victory’s full power. Modi and Magni nodded in agreement. Looking intently at the Sword in her hand, Swegde saw the energy of the Sword, as if it was already looking forward to the next fight against Demons…
