A light sphere appeared somewhere in the woods, followed by a tall man figure, dressing in a Japanese robe. Alert to the unfamiliar environment, he was poised for anything unexpected by putting his hand on the sword.
Nobunaga: “Where am I? I was in the city a few seconds ago. Then a strong light sent me here...Anyways, let me find out what’s going on in this place.”
During the walk in the forest, Nobunaga soon noticed someone was following him.
Nobunaga: “I’m tailed...That guy is not a Zetsu user. His aura is completely exposed...Well, probably I can have something useful from him.”
Nobunaga took a step to leap into the air.
Madhead: Uh...where is that man? Why he is gone? He was just right there.
Nobunaga sneaked up on Madhead like a ghost, putting his sword next to its neck.
Madhead: Wait wait, there must be a misunderstanding. Pu-put down the sword first...All I want to tell you is how to get back to your own world…
Nobunaga’s bloodlust eased up after hearing it out. Then he signalled Madhead to continue.
Madhead: My name is Madhead. I need you to find a cursed katana named “Sengo Muramasa” for me. Then I'll be able to send you back——
Nobunaga: Send me back NOW.
Madhead: This can’t be happening!
Nobunaga: Sent me back. I won’t say it more than 2 times!
Madhead: You-you leave me no choice! I’ll come back again after you get the cursed katana!
Madhead swung its wand to teleport itself.
Nobunaga: Tut, it’s gone. Well I guess finding that sword is my only choice.
As Nobunaga walked down to a village from the mountain, immediately he was surrounded by a dozen armed guards. Then he drew his sword pointing at the enemies as a defense along with the tension escalating.
Nobunaga mocked, exuding with intense bloodlust. Despite the spine-chilling feeling, the guards plucked up their courage to step forward.
Guard A: Weapons are forbidden in this city except for the mayor and guards. Hand over your sword before you enter!
Guard B: Just follow our orders. It’s for your own good.
Nobunaga: I refuse! Come to take my sword if you can.
Nobunaga thrust the sword towards the guard, whose iron blade was immediately cut into half as he was unable to hold Nobunaga’s strength back. The remaining guards kept pressing on in order to take his sword, but it was all in vain. At the moment, Nobunaga was already fed up.
Nobunaga: Do you guys even know how to use blades?
Guard C: Save-save it! When our mayor pulls out his Muramasa, you’re doomed!
Nobunaga: Muramasa...isn’t it the cursed katana that thing mentioned before?
Guard C: Haha! Right, you also heard of this legendary cursed weapon, didn’t you?
Nobunaga: Oh, never expected I can find a lead that easy. Now that I already knew where my target is, you’re useless now. Die.
Nobunaga got to know about the mayor’s residence from citizens. As soon as he arrived at his doorstep and opened the door, he stopped——
Nobunaga: “Smell of blood…”
Nobunaga went inside on full alert, following the blood smell to the main building. He opened the door but his eyes froze after seeing the scene——A middle-aged man’s corpse was lying in bloodbath.
Nobunaga: “Could he be the mayor...Judging from the cuts, he was slashed to death by a katana…”
Nobunaga: Who’s there!
A subtle noise sounded. Nobunaga spontaneously drew his sword and turned around. Nobody was here. After a while, a low female voice came into his ears.
???: You’re...coming for the cursed katana, aren’t you?
Next second, a katana ascended and attacked Nobunaga at lightning speed. Parrying with his sword, he knocked the katana down to the floor. Although it became inactive, a girl in kimono appeared out of nowhere, with a gloomy grin.
Muramasa: My name is Muramasa, Sengo Muramasa.
Nobunaga: You’re...the katana?
Muramasa nodded while glancing at the corpse on the floor.
Muramasa: This man thought he could do whatever he likes with me.
Muramasa: I just wanted to teach him a lesson and fool with him, but things have gone wrong, ending up with death just like my past owners.
Nobunaga: I see. That means you have no owner right now. Well I’ll be yours!
The edge of the cursed katana was razor sharp. Just a swing then the ceramic vase next to Nobunaga was cut into pieces. With Muramasa’s incredible speed, the attacks were formidable. Such an intense battle brought Nobunaga a surge of excitement.
Nobunaga: This katana is awesome! I like it!
Looking at the bellicose Nobunaga, Muramasa’s movements were getting violent. Then, he dodged the attack and struck back in no time. Sparkles of steel fell scattered in the house alongside the neck-and-neck battle. Muramasa spoke as she wielded her katana.
Muramasa: No one deserves this katana better than Master Yashichiro!
Muramasa was targeting at his heart, but Nobunaga managed to avoid it, followed by a swift horizontal slash, leaving a considerable cut on her wrist.
Muramasa: “This man is different from those weak owners in the past...but still can’ t compare with Master Yashichiro!”
Knowing that his attacks were getting fierce, Muramasa changed her strategy to step back and become invisible. The disappearance made Nobunaga keep a vigilant eye on the surrounding. The house was in dead silence, as if the intense battle just happened had never existed. Time was like frozen.
Suddenly, the katana cut through the air towards Nobunaga. Although he took a back leap to dodge in the nick of time, a few strands of hair was cut off. And he was getting furious with the ghostly Muramasa.
Nobunaga: I won’t hold back anymore…
He put his sword back, crouched down holding the pose of iaidō. At the same time, all senses were concentrated on anything in the range of his “En”. Muramasa became invisible again to attack, and just as she was about to reach his head——
He avoided her attack and waved his sword to the left, successfully hitting the invisible Muramasa, who was revealed after being stabbed right into her abdomen, kneeling on the floor painfully.
Muramasa: ...Master Yashichiro...what is the meaning of strongest…
Down to the ground, Muramasa was turned into dark light, absorbed into the cursed katana. In an instant, Madhead showed up..
Madhead: Finally, Muramasa rests in peace. Alright, let me get you back to your own world.
Nobunaga: Well, I’ll take this katana…
Knowing that Nobunaga tried to take the cursed katana away, Madhead immediately swung its wand to send him back. As Nobunaga returned to his own world, everything happened in the realm was already forgotten. He spoke while holding his sword.
