Jing Tian: Chong Lou, is there a chance that you can take everyone back home?
Chong Lou: Do you truly think I am really almighty?
Summoned by Li Hsiao-Yao, the individuals from Ancient China had come to the realm of Humans through time and space, and assisted him in the search of the missing Evil-Sealing Pagoda. After retrieving the Pagoda, the only problem left was to send it back, and return to their own era; among them all, Chong Lou, the Almighty Devil, was the only one capable of the task. Yet —
Chong Lou: No matter how great my pneuma is, it is enough to take only the Evil-Sealing Pagoda back to Ancient China.
Chong Lou: The rest of you need to figure out a way of returning by yourselves.
Li Hsiao-Yao: Wait! Great Master, why would you entrust the Evil-Sealing Pagoda to the Almighty Devil?
Chong Lou: Shushan kid, you want a piece of me? I’m up for it.
Li Hsiao-Yao: What are you scheming against the Evil-Sealing Pagoda?
Jing Tian: Stop, you two! We can talk this through. There is no need to fight.
Li Hsiao-Yao: Great Master, why do you always protect the Almighty Devil?
Chong Lou: I don’t need his protection. Come on, let’s continue the fight!
Jing Tian: Stop it! Chong Lou is my friend. The Evil-Sealing Pagoda is what our friend had sacrificed herself to protect.
Jing Tian: Trust me. Chong Lou would never harm the Evil-Sealing Pagoda!
In the past, the Evil-Sealing Pagoda had once collapsed. Zi Hsuan, a descendent of Nü Wa, had therefore sacrificed herself to repair the Pagoda. Since Chong Lou was in love with Zi Hsuan, the Evil-Sealing Pagoda was especially important for him.
After Jing Tian’s detailed explanation, Li Hsiao-Yao finally agreed to let Chong Lou escort the Evil-Sealing Pagoda. But as Jing Tian explained, Chong Lou turned his head away with a bleak expression. After Chong Lou had left with the Evil-Sealing Pagoda, Tang Hsue-Jian smiled and said, “He was just being shy.”
Tang Hsue-Jian: Long Kui, have you found anything?
Blue Long Kui: There are a lot of blurry spots on this map. I cannot tell where the places are...
The group received an ancient scroll from Felix the Cat Duke, one of the culprits for the incident of the missing Evil-Sealing Pagoda. In the scroll, there were descriptions about the Evil-Sealing Pagoda, and the method which could help everyone return to their own era — the passageway of time and space could be opened up with a Runestone of great elemental power. But to their surprise, the map that Felix possessed was incomplete.
Jing Tian: Darn that cat yaoguai! How dare he cheat us!
Jing Tian: Finally found you! How dare you trick us with a fake map!
Felix the Cat Duke: I didn’t trick you. The map has always been like that from the beginning. It’s not like I can get anything from you by cheating you guys.
Tang Hsue-Jian: Cut the crap!
Felix the Cat Duke: These guys are crazy! I’d better run!
Jing Tian: Not a chance!
Blue Long Kui: Brother, wait! Take a look on the map!
Blue Long Kui: Brother, the map truly has always been like this from the beginning. And the blurred spots are not our destination anyway.
Jing Tian: Let me see... It sure has... So... we have blamed the wrong person?
Tang Hsui-Jian: He’s not a person! You should’ve said “we have blamed the wrong yaoguai”!
Tang Hsui-Jian: It’s all your fault, beating someone before you even figured out the truth!
Jing Tian: It was you who first started it — Oh no no no, I am saying, you are right, Venerable Miss Tang. I shouldn’t have been so reckless...
They found out the approximate location of the Runestone using a crystal created by the Celestial Master, the second culprit of the “incident”. The skillful Jing Tian was assigned the task to make a copy of the map — at least he would not have copied the map wrong.
Jing Tian: The Runestone we need is in underworld... underworld... seems like it is somewhere like the ghostland we have in Ancient China...
Tang Hsue-Jian: Here comes ghostland again...
To locate and allow Tang Hsue-Jian’s soul return to her body, the group had been to ghostland, where the dead waited to be reborn. Although generally no one would like ghostland, Tang Hsue-Jian had even worse experiences in there. Hence, she hated ghostland more than anyone.
Jing Tian: It should be similar to ghostland; we just need to find the right time and place to enter underworld?
Felix the Cat Duke: You wish!
Jing Tian: Ah, you are the cat yaoguai from last time. I’m sorry. We’ve wrongly blamed you before.
Felix the Cat Duke: Oh, is that so? Then I’m gonna let off a little steam.
Tang Hsue-Jian: Hey, play it softly! If you hit him too hard, and literally beats the wit out of him, then I have no one to make fun of!
It was not until Long Kui spoke after a while did everyone return to the right topic.^ Felix told them that underworld was different from ghostland of Ancient China. There was a three-headed hound guarding its gate. Moreover, only souls of the deceased’ s entry was permitted in underworld.
Jing Tian: Does it mean only Kui can get in there? No way! That’s too dangerous!
Red Long Kui: Brother Tian, I will be there. There’s no need to worry.
Compared to the kind and quiet Blue Long Kui, Red Long Kui was brave and wise. It would be reassuring to know that she would be the one to enter underworld.
Tang Hsue-Jian: So this is the entrance to underworld...
Jing Tian: Shhh! Speak softly! Or we’ll expose our location to that three-headed hound!
Tang Hsue-Jian: So you are saying I am noisy?! It was just a few words and you think I am noisy?!
Jing Tian: Venerable Miss Tang, your voice is the sweetest and the most amazing in the world. There is no way I would think you are noisy!
Ethereal Drifter - Cerberus: Roar...!
Tang Hsue-Jian: Oh no! We’ve been discovered! It’s all your fault! Why did you make all that noises?!
Jing Tian: Why is it my fault again? You were the noisy one...
Jing Tian: Alright, we will just play along. Hsue-Jian and I will lure away the three-headed hound.
Jing Tian: Kui, you seize the chance to sneak into underworld and find the Runestone.
Red Long Kui: Just leave that to me. Brother, be careful.
Watching Long Kui enter underworld alone, Jing Tian could not help but be worried about her. Yet, the three-headed hound did not give him time to think, and attacked the pair fiercely! Jing Tian could only pray that Long Kui could return safe and sound as soon as possible.
